Text Work sample Year 1 – 2 Japanese: Body parts

TLF ID A004425

This work sample demonstrates evidence of student learning in relation to aspects of the achievement standards for Year 1 - 2: Body parts. The primary purpose for the work sample is to demonstrate the standard, so the focus is on what is evident in the sample not how it was created. The sample is an authentic representation of student work and may contain errors such as spelling mistakes and other inaccuracies. In this work sample students: • use Japanese language to interact and share information related to the classroom and themselves • use cues to respond to questions and instructions, and use simple formulaic language • locate and convey key items of information in texts using non-verbal, visual and contextual cues to help make meaning • imitate the sounds and rhythms of Japanese and demonstrate understanding that Japanese has rules for non-verbal communication, pronunciation and writing and identify the 3 different scripts.
